“The Lavender Scores,” KC VITAs’ new publishing initiative led by Dr. Joshua Donaldson, KC VITAs Vice-Chair, and Dr. Jackson Thomas, Founder/Artistic Director. As a series of educational choral anthologies accessible to ensembles of all types, “The Lavender Scores” will feature music by living LGBTQIA+ composers. The inaugural volume, scheduled for publication with Dulcamara Press later this year, will include every selection performed on the Shimmer program, along with additional works chosen through our recent Call for Scores process.
